Instrument Ride passed ! Part 141

Well , another successful weekend here at Blue Hill Helicopters ! One of our Part 141 Instrument program students successfully passed her Instrument Checkride !

Rebecca D'Ambrosio completed the program with very minimum hours and was one of our first students on our Part 141 instrument program , she was waiting for us to get approved as she wanted to fly a Schweizer . Rebecca already had some R22 time but liked the stabilty and safety record of the Schweizer.

We use a S300C for our instrument training , it allows for long flights and carry's 64 Gals of 100LL gas allowing us long instrument flights without refueling like other trainers . we can finish the program in a much shorter time span this way .

Adrian and Rebecca departed for KCON (Concord NH ) at around lunchtime on Saturday to meet with the Examiner Joe Brigham .

They arrived on time and Rebbeca quickly sailed through the flight and oral Exam. They were heading back as it got dark and arrived back to KOWD (Norwood) in the dark , they put the helicopters in the hangar just in time for the big storm to hit !

Again , well Done Rebecca , I am sure you will sail through the Commercial and CFI just as well with your dedication and study.

Stay tuned for some more rating success stories over the coming weeks including a trip from Texas to Miami in our Eurocopter EC120B and a Blog on the flight from MA to Miami completed this month .

Happy Holidays !
